The Challenge
Peterson McGregor and PB&J were launching a clever billboard campaign built around sharp, concise messaging and a bold color palette. Our challenge was to take that concept and expand it into an animated TV commercial that felt consistent—but brought an entirely new dimension to the campaign.
Our Approach
The billboard campaign gave us a great starting point with punchy text and bold colors that we could carry into the animation. We built a world around the words—introducing playful characters and expressive environments that added depth, motion, and personality to the message.
We developed a playful line art style that allowed us to have fun with the visuals while keeping things clean. Characters popped in and out, scenes shifted fluidly, and every transition was designed to keep viewers engaged without overshadowing the message.

The Results
The finished spot retained the clarity and tone of the original campaign but expanded its impact with personality and storytelling. The animation was so well received that we later adapted it into multiple 15-second versions, giving the campaign even more reach across different platforms.
Final Thoughts
This project shows how animation can do more than stand alone—it can amplify and extend existing campaigns in new, engaging ways. By building on the billboard concept, we were able to add depth, motion, and character to a message that was already strong in print.
